Get into the Groove of Working-From-Home
The whole world has changed in the last two weeks —disrupting all of our daily habits and forcing us to make major adjustments.
If you are working from home for the first time, here are some of my favorite tips for getting in the work-from-home groove.
A workspace can be carved out of the most unlikely places. Wherever space is in your home (balcony, bedroom, living room or garage), give your space good vibes and some TLC.
Don’t neglect your senses. Sound and smell can make working from home feel extremely comfortable. A little comfort goes a long way in keeping you focused. So queue up your "productivity playlist" in the background or use your favorite scents or oils to create an inspiring zen-like atmosphere to help you work.
Add creature comforts to your workspace like small plants, or mix it up and try a salt lamp. It sets a great mood for early morning or evening work sessions and helps to lift your spirits.
Lastly, make sure to take regular breaks —get up and move around. That might mean taking a walk or moving from one work location to another.
All you really need is a small bit of space and a big dose of motivation to carve out a space that feels like an office.
